Bareback porn, if you haven't noticed, is a touchy subject in the porn industry, and it's about to get touchier.
Actually, it's not, it's already touchy enough, but Out Magazine has a story in the current issue pondering whether bareback porn is responsible for a rise in HIV infections. Along the way, Out talked to just about everybody in the porn industry about the subject.
(Too bad they decided not to post the article on Out.Com or you could read it right now!) The article is called Baring the Truth. The jist of it is, producers of non-bareback porn think bareback is horrible, and producers of bareback porn think bareback is wonderful. Funny how that works!
What do consumers think? According to Out, bareback accounts for "up to 30% of the gay porn industry's output," and bareback movies make up about half of MaleDVD.Net's top rentals.
