I've had a blog entry on gay porn star blogs on the back burner for months, and I was planning to finally post it this week — but Jack of GayPornBlog beat me to the punch. Damn her!Part of the reason it's been on the back burner is that, like Jack mentioned, there are hardly any gay porn star blogs out there. It's almost like the two are mutually exclusive — starring in gay porn, and keeping a blog. Maybe it's just too much work to do both?
There are a couple exceptions. Tag Adams has a cute blog that doesn't get into too much depth, but it's a friendly read, giving you some cursory insight into Tag's goings-on and travels. He seems like an adorable guy.
And Matt Sizemore has a column on HookOnline.Org called Sizemore Speaks, though I can't seem to figure out how regularly it appears.
Also, my crush of the moment (those blue eyes!) Michael Brandon, has a really well-done blog called Monster's Journal, which is probably my favorite of the lot, tending to get me very hot and bothered. (Mike, you could be a porn writer!) Too bad it hasn't been updated since last year. Sad face!
Other porn stars prefer forums like Yahoo! Groups or email lists to maintaining an actual blog. Sean Storm sends out his Sean Storm Updates letting people know what he's working on. Contact SeanStorm [at] AOL.Com to be added. And the men of Factory Videos have a Yahoo! Group in which they participate.
Jack Ryan also has a Yahoo! Group devoted to him, and he occasionally posts to it.
There is also the Dangerous Liaisons blog I was talking about, chronicling the making of that Michael Lucas film, sometimes written by porn stars (e.g. Gus Mattox) and other times by staffers.
As for the question on many peoples' lips about whether Mark Dalton will get his act together and do a blog from jail... time will tell...
