Gawker did such a thorough and all-encompassing post on the book's contents that you might want to go there and read it. But here are the key plot points (just attach "allegedly" to everything):
• Perry posted a Craigslist ad that said he wanted someone to unlock their door, turn off the lights, and lie face-down on the bed, legs spread. A gentleman answer the ad and did as requested. Perry then came in and fucked the guy for about a minute before coming into a condom which he then put into his pocket. Then Perry tried to flee, but the guy's front door jammed and Perry couldn't get out! The trick had to un-jam the door, while Perry's security detail, standing around their black van outside, drew their guns!
• A male hustler, "Joey," claims he was hired three or four times per year by Perry and an assistant of Perry's in the early 2000s. Maxey claims he got Joey a high-powered lawyer for the purpose of negotiating a price for his story with the tabloids, but the guy chickened out.
• When confronted about a long-term affair alleged to have happened between Perry and himself, Perry's former Secretary of State Geoff Connor would only say, "I'm no longer a public official and I don't care to comment on that. I suggest you ask Rick Perry."
And so it goes, just the latest homophobic politician to be caught-out as a self-hating gay. Sad!
