Consolidation in the gay porn industry has been breathtaking lately.AEBN (a/k/a Adult Entertainment Broadcast Network) the world's largest video-on-demand provider, bought Falcon Studios and has merged it with Raging Stallion, which AEBN already owns. Raging Stallion was, when it started, a small studio owned by three gay porn stars that has grown into a major gay porn player.
And just as COLT Studio Group seemingly circles the drain into bankruptcy liquidation, Falcon, which used to be gay porn's biggest fish, has now been swallowed whole by AEBN.
I am guessing it is the success of AEBN's streaming porn distribution system combined with its breadth of content that will enable it to make money off Falcon's material where Falcon couldn't.
The combined Raging Stallion/Falcon will now comprise the gay division of AEBN and will be headed by Raging Stallion studio head Chris Ward. Falcon President James Hansen will be Chief Financial Officer.
Both studio staffs will be combined, and will be responsible for producing 60 new titles and 40 compilations per year. That's about two per week if you're counting.
And all of these will be viewable at NakedSword.Com, another AEBN property. The DVDs will continue to be released by their old distribution methods.
